The Peliqan Grid View is a spreadsheet-like interface to view data from any source, as well as to “work” with the data including making changes, applying transformations and formulas, adding columns, adding rows and creating views.

Viewing data

Click on any table in the left pane to open this table in the grid view. You can now view the data. You can re-arrange and resize columns, and hide columns. You can change the ordering (sorting) of the data and apply filters.

You can create “Views” with a specific name, each view can have its own selection of columns, specific sorting and filtering.

Editing data

Note that in each table you can edit the data freely, even if you are using a read-only connection to a source. Data edits are stored in Peliqan and are not stored in the underlying data source. The data edits are applied to the table, each time you open the table to view it, when you refresh it and when you use the table in e.g. a data app.

Data edits are a type of data transformations.

Following data edits are possible:

All data edits are stored as “Changes” in Peliqan. You can view all the changes you have applied to a table by clicking on Changes in the top menu bar of the table.

You can delete a Change, which is the equivalent of an “undo”. When you delete the change, and refresh the table, that data edit will no longer be applied to the table.
